Our partner organization Muddy Paws Rescue works year-round to care for rescue dogs, connect them with foster families, and match them with forever homes. By joining Home for the Howlidays, you help raise awareness for fostering and support the people who open their doors to pups in need.
Ellie is an eight-year-old mix who’s the best of all worlds: a cuddly, belly-up couch buddy at home and a joyful burst of energy the moment she steps outside. Age is just a number to her – she’s convinced she's far younger than her eight years (and everyone who meets her believes it too). She’s never met a stranger, every new person is an instant bestie. She’s done well with kids and adults.
Though her past before arriving at a Kentucky shelter is unknown, Ellie has been thriving since joining Muddy Paws on November 15. Now living in a foster home with a seasoned foster parent and a resident pup, she’s learning how to “dog” and is adjusting to city life beautifully. She hasn’t required any extra medical or behavioral support. For sweet Ellie, simply having a warm, loving foster home is exactly what she needs as she eagerly waits for her forever family to find her.

Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes are beautiful, energetic working breeds known for their strength, intelligence, and love of adventure. Because they’re big, active dogs with unique needs, not every home is the right fit for them, and sometimes they need extra support or time in a foster home before finding their forever family.
That’s why we’ve chosen these breeds to feature in Home for the Howlidays: they represent the dogs who often need a little extra care and patience, and your play in Hay Day helps support the foster networks that give them (and pups of all shapes and sizes!), a safe, happy place while they wait for their forever homes.
